British media: Fenway has reached a principle agreement on acquisition of Getafe, with a total cost of up to 200 million pounds
June 25 According to the British media tbrfootball website, Fenway Group has reached a principle agreement on the acquisition of La Liga Getafe Club, with a total cost of up to 200 million pounds, which includes the acquisition price and promised subsequent capital injection. The timing of Fenway's acquisition of Getafe may depend on the size of Liverpool's spending in the transfer market this summer. Fenway would not have used a lot of money to Liverpool player transfers in the past, but they may break that routine this summer.
Before contacting Getafe, Fenway also considered acquiring the Málaga club, but gave up for commercial reasons.
Fenway is now looking for acquisition opportunities for more football clubs in other leagues outside the Premier League. In addition to Spanish clubs, they are also visiting clubs in Portugal and France.
