It is about to return to the European war! Greek tycoon withdrew from controlling the forest & at the same time, he controls Olympiacos

Football

May 1st According to the Telegraph and other British media reports, Greek billionaire Marinakis, who also owns Olympiacos, withdrew from control of Nottingham Forest to avoid violating the rules of ownership of several UEFA clubs.

Olympiacos has locked a seat in the Champions League, and UEFA stipulates that clubs under the same owner are not allowed to participate in the same event. Nottingham Forest is currently ranked 6th and is about to return to the European game. Club owner Evan Galos Marinakis has suspended his participation in the team's affairs. The Greek shipping tycoon temporarily cut off direct connections to the club by transferring his shares to a confidential trust.

Nottingham Forest is not an isolated case. Manchester United co-owner Ineos has suspended control of Nice this season, and Manchester City has withdrawn from control of La Liga team Girona.

Forest has five league games left this season, which will determine its fate of returning to the European war in 29 years. The last time the team participated in the European Championship dates back to the UEFA Cup in the 95/96 season.
