Red Bull/Qatar/Haier are unable to meet the asking price of Chelsea sponsorship, and the chest/armbands are still bare

Football

Hupu, October 18th According to the latest report from American sports reporter Łukasz Bączek, Chelsea has so far failed to find a sponsor.

Chelsea has approached a number of global brands for sponsorship, including Red Bull Limited, Oracle, Lenovo and Qatar Airways. The club has also been in talks with other companies in the technology, entertainment and aviation sectors in recent months.

The main obstacle to completing the deal is the club's financial expectations, rather than the FA's accusations of payments to agents.

Red Bull currently has cooperation with six Premier League partners, including becoming a shareholder of Leeds United and a front-of-shirt sponsor.

A £60m deal is unlikely to happen despite the Austrian company increasing its marketing spend. The partnership with Red Bull will ultimately terminate its agreement with Monster BevCorp's Predator Energy brand.

Oracle has served as the official sponsor of the Premier League until the end of the 2024/25 season, with an annual sponsorship amount of approximately 10 million pounds. This summer, Oracle announced a five-year sponsorship deal with Formula One team Red Bull Racing worth approximately $60 million per year.

This summer, Chelsea Club held discussions with Lenovo, Qatar Airways and Bank of America, which are also sponsors of this new Club World Cup. In May this year, Chinese brands (Lenovo and Motorola) became FIFA's top partners in multi-million dollar deals.

According to Sky TV reports last year, Qatar Airways had also conducted negotiations before. Bank of America has been keeping an eye on Chelsea for more than two years, but its sponsorship was far below the Blues' expectations. It seems that Haier will not eventually become the armband sponsor.

Haier has previously signed multi-year contracts with Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Riyadh Crescent. Currently, Haier has no plans to further expand into football.

Vietnamese company FPTSoftware has previously expressed interest in obtaining a larger sponsorship deal.
