Hupu, November 06, the latest report from TheAthletic MLS team. According to informed sources, Inter Miami forward Luis Suarez was suspended by the Major League Soccer (MLS) Disciplinary Committee for a violation in the second game of the first-round series and will miss Saturday's crucial third game of the playoffs against Nashville SC.

The source added that Inter Miami had appealed the decision, but it was upheld, meaning Suarez will miss the decisive third game at Chase Stadium.

Inter Miami and Nashville SC each won one game in the first two games, and the loser will be eliminated. As the team with the highest investment in MLS, Inter Miami hopes to avoid being stopped in the first round for the second consecutive year.

The reason for Suarez's suspension was an off-ball violation in the 71st minute of the game, when he kicked Nashville SC defender Andy Nahar. The referee did not call a foul or show a yellow card.

According to MLS rules and regulations, the disciplinary committee can intervene in a variety of situations and impose fines or bans on players after the game. The first situation is that the referee did not see the foul, the second situation requires additional penalties, and the last situation is that the referee saw the foul but did not show a yellow card, but the disciplinary committee believed that it was a clear and obvious red card.

This is Suarez's second suspension in recent months. Earlier this year, Suarez was suspended for spitting at Sounders head of security Gene Ramirez during a melee following Miami's League Cup final loss to the Seattle Sounders.

Suarez was suspended for six League Cup games and was later suspended for three more games.
