Trading Buffkin! American News: Eagles have more room to deal with Daniels & next year; Pozin renews contract

September 16th: The Hawks traded defender Kobe Buffkin to the Nets to exchange for some cash. "The Hawks will likely give up Buffkin's $6.9 million team option next summer, doing so will create a luxury tax flexibility this season, but the real focus is next year. This will leave them more room to deal with the renewal of Daniels and Porzingis."
Buffkin played 10 games for the Hawks last season, averaging 5.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
