Mayor of Milan: San Siro can make more money building a house, but we hope to keep Milan and Inter Milan

The Milan Municipal Government is preparing to sell the San Siro Stadium and its surrounding areas to two clubs, Milan and Inter Milan, to build a new stadium belonging to the club. But some people criticized the municipal government for asking for too low prices, and Mayor Sara explained: "We hope to build new stadiums in this area, and it will eventually be a funding issue, which is normal. I want to encourage the club to stay in Milan and stay in San Siro, but I did not give anything to anyone for free." Mayor Sara went on to say: "Some people criticize us for giving the land to the club for free, and think that the city government can get more income by selling the land. I admit that it is true, as long as the new stadium is no longer built, but a lot of residences are built on this land, then these lands can be sold at a higher price. However, we do not want Milan and Inter to move to the San Donato or Rozano area." In the end, Mayor Sara said: "Nevertheless, I love my work. It's just that when there is one person who does things seriously, there are always 10 people next to him who sing against it."
