Manchester City considers introducing record midfielder

Football

The ongoing reconstruction in Manchester City may take them to the doorstep of AC Milan midfielder Tejani Reindez, but the deal could cost a lot of money.

After winning four consecutive Premier League titles, Manchester City has declined rapidly this season. With two games left, they are 18 points behind the new crown champion Liverpool and still can’t secure a qualifying for the Champions League, even with an additional spot. The team reform began in January, spending more than £170m on Omar Marmush, Vittor Rez, Abdukdir Husanov and Nico Gonzalez and will continue to go fast.

Kevin De Bruyne will leave the club soon, although he seems reluctant, as Ilkay Gundogan will turn 35 in the coming months, and there are also doubts about Bernardo Silva due to his connection with childhood club Benfica. Rodri will soon recover from long-term injuries, but the investment in the midfield is still mature.

In the midfield, the Daily Telegraph wrote that Ryandes is a "important goal for the summer." The Dutchman is good at playing many different midfield roles, but is mainly called the No. 8 and is a bit like an all-around player. He scored 10 goals and five assists this season in Serie A.

So Milan Hope Club's record-breaking selling price parted ways with him, which means higher than the £57m card they accepted from Real Madrid in 2009, which was the sum of the world records at the time.

Manchester City are primarily associated with more offensive choices before the transfer window. Florian Wilz is the ideal goal, but as Leverkusen's talent is increasingly linked to Bayern Munich, City have considered alternatives including Morgan Gibbs-White and Danny Ormo.

It is not clear whether the club pursues Reindes, the deeper midfielder, is complementary or the opposite. City are also believed to be targeting a new right-back, which has been an issue since Kyle Walker fell in form in the first half of the season, ironically he left for Milan in January. The deal took place on loan, but Walker is not expected to play for Manchester City again.
