Hupu August 15th, TheAthleticUK ace reporter David Ornstein exclusively reported that Nottingham Forest is agreeing with Ipswich to Omari Hutchinson's transfer fee, with an estimated total price of £37.5 million.

After the forest's £35 million offer was rejected, negotiations between the clubs have entered a later stage, but the two sides are still continuing.

Hutchinson's personal terms will not be a problem.

Forest and the 21-year-old attacking midfielder still have other options, so the transfer has not been finalized and we still need to wait for confirmation from all parties.

If the deal goes well, the transfer will break the forest's previous transfer fee record - bringing Dan Ndoye from Bologna last month for £35 million.

According to TheAthletic on Thursday, Forests are also negotiating the transfer fee for Rennes striker Arno Calimundor, which is about £26 million. They are preparing for their first European competition in 30 years, and they are also about to sign Manchester City midfielder James McCarty.

Last season, Hutchinson made 32 appearances in various competitions, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists. Ipswich finally ranked 19th in the Premier League and was relegated to the English League Two. Hutchinson studied at Chelsea's youth training camp and later debuted in the Arsenal youth training system. In 2022, he returned to Chelsea, but only made two appearances for the first team.

Fulham winger Adama Traore and US midfielder Yunus Moussa are also interested players in Forest, who have negotiated with AC Milan for the latter's potential transfer.
