Wilkins advises Durant: Don t change teams after winning the championship and find a comfortable home
When asked about his opinion on how Durant might join a new team in the offseason, Wilkins said: "When you have won the championship, it seems a bit troublesome to change teams frequently. At a certain age, players should look at their situation and think clearly, 'I would rather end my career in a place that makes me feel comfortable than just chasing the championship.'"
Wilkins said of Durant's historical status He said: "Durant has left a deep mark in basketball history. He does not need to prove his greatness to anyone. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest players in history and one of the greatest scorers. He does not need to prove anything anymore. Everything else is an extra glory."
Durant played 62 games for the Suns this season, averaging 36.5 minutes per game, and averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.
