Under the championship banner, details of the 2025 championship ring!

Basketball

As a new team that moved to Oklahoma City less than 20 years ago, the Thunder’s home arena has always had only veteran Collison’s retired No. 4 jersey flying alone. Until the opening game of this season, another flag finally appeared, the championship pennant from the 2024-25 season.

Before hoisting the championship banner, the Thunder held a championship ring awarding ceremony at home. All players, as well as the team's top chairman, general manager, and head coach received the rings.

Unlike the team, which only has one championship trophy, each championship ring has its own, and is designed according to different years and teams every year. This year's Thunder championship ring is no exception.

The 2025 championship rings are each inlaid with more than 800 hand-set gemstones. The main component of the top of the ring is 14K gold, set with one hundred diamonds and engraved with the words "NBA CHAMPIONS". Then there is a groundbreaking innovation:

The top of each ring can be used as a detachable cover. When opened, there is another small ring. It is an ingenious design of a ring within a ring.

Each player's small ring has personal characteristics. There is a jersey number made of diamonds on the outside. 94 diamonds are inlaid on the upper and lower edges of the inner ring. Each player's number surrounds the inner ring, and the player's signature is engraved on the inside. Players can wear the inner ring as a substitute for a championship ring.

After opening it, you will also find that there is a thunderbolt shape and the words "0-0" on the back of the cover, which symbolizes the Thunder's philosophy. No matter how many games it has won before, it must play with a 0-0 mentality; and in the space with the small ring, there is a scene of everyone excitedly touching the trophy when they won the championship.

The left and right sides of the ring are engraved with "Oklahoma City", "Player Name", "68-14 Regular Season Record", "Jersey Number Arranged with Diamonds", as well as "Thunder", "Thunder Logo", "2025" and other words (the hollow part of 0 is replaced by the NBA Logo). It is mainly composed of 14K white gold, blue and orange sapphires and diamonds in the team's representative colors.

On the outer palm of the ring, the Door of Time and Reflecting Pool patterns are engraved in tribute to the Oklahoma National Monument. The Door of Time shape made of 14K white gold is engraved between a pair of round sapphires, which is intended to echo the sparkling water surface.

The inner palm side is engraved with the Latin word "labor omnia vincit", which is the Oklahoma motto, which means: Labor can conquer everything.

Finally, the part that is in direct contact with the finger is also engraved with the scores of the Thunder's various series:

Thunder 4-0 Grizzlies

Thunder 4-3 Nuggets

Thunder 4-1 Timberwolves

Thunder 4-3 Pacers

Along with the championship award ceremony, there were many wonderful moments. Before the game, Rockets player Adams appeared and was cheered by Thunder fans. Later, Durant, who was also wearing a Rockets jersey, was booed. During the award ceremony, Adams and Jeff Green, both former Thunder players, were watching from the sidelines. Only Durant chose to stay in the locker room, which was also quite an interesting scene.

As the opening game of the new season, this game was indeed intense enough. Most of the time, the score difference between the two sides was within two possessions. The two teams felt cold on the outside. They relied more on team defense and star performance, and there were many key rounds.

Including Shen Jing’s multiple hits to tie and go-ahead scores in the countdown, Alexander’s tying mid-range shot, and the winning free throw in overtime, a series of wonderful scenes really gave the new season a good start.

This game is also the first game that ABC (American Broadcasting Corporation) returns to broadcast. During the post-game interview, Holmgren responded to the program's request and showed off the championship ring in front of the three untitled seniors Anthony, Carter, and McGrady. McGrady also laughed at himself and said:

"I am very grateful for this opportunity to come here, because I have never There is no chance to get a championship ring."

And Holmgren also faced the camera and made a good start for the new season:

"The championship is the pinnacle of basketball, but if you only care about June, you can't be on that court. I only focus on how to make every game better, both individually and as a team."
