Bulls wing new players: I am a player who is good at defending, I will defend the strongest player on the court
The new wing of the Chicago Bulls Isaac Okoro was interviewed by reporters, and he also talked about his feelings about coming to the Bulls' brand new team.
Ocorro said: Chicago has a completely different scenery from Cleveland. Everyone is telling me that Chicago is simply beautiful in summer. You can enjoy the scenery by the lake while eating, or even rafting on the lake, and I have a good impression of Chicago. I know very well that the Bulls are a team that has a lot of connections with the championship. They have a great history and a successful experience. Ocorro continued: I've talked to Coby White and Matas Buzelis and they told me that the Bulls are a team with a very harmonious atmosphere. The team's excellent chemistry is Philadelphia-friendly for new players. I'm a player who is good at defending, so I keep defending the strongest scorers in the league when I'm on the court. I am such a player, and I have played this way since I was a kid. I also hope that I can maintain this performance next season and become a key figure for the Bulls.
In the NBA last season, Ocorro played 55 times for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 82 games, averaging 19.1 minutes per game, averaging 6.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks, and 0.4 turnovers and 1.9 fouls. He shot 46.4%, three-point shooting percentage 37.1%, and free throw shooting percentage 71.7%. In the playoffs, Ocorro played 9 games in total, with averaging 14.2 minutes per game, averaging 4.6 points, 1.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.1 blocks, and 0.4 turnovers and 1.4 fouls. He shot 50% from the field, 37.5% from three-point shooting percentage and 62.5% from free throws.
In a previous deal, the Cavaliers sent Ocorro to the Bulls and exchanged them for Lonzo Ball. The Bulls' intentions are very clear, Ball's attendance is there, and the Bulls are able to solve these problems in the games he misses. As for Okoro, the Bulls' starting lineup is indeed lacking a strong defender like Okoro. Okoro's athletic ability and physical talent are there, and his arrival can indeed strengthen some of the shortcomings in the Bulls' current lineup. What's more, Ocorro is only 24 years old. He is the high-pick lottery pick that the Cavaliers picked in the fifth pick in the first round in the 2020 NBA Draft. In fact, he still has some potential to tap. Judging from the situation in previous seasons, Ocorro is actually a reliable 3D wing player. Even if he has not made any progress, he can provide enough support to the team.
