Jokic s comment after the game: Is the lineup depth really a pain point, or is it a prelude to turn the blame?

Basketball

As a loyal fan of the Nuggets for ten years, I have to talk about the battle in Oklahoma on May 19th. Our Nuggets were 93 to 125 and were killed by the Thunder. After the game, the teacher asked the teacher to say "It should be strengthened for the depth of the lineup" that made me feel overwhelmed by the Five Flavors Bottle - it makes sense, but it also hides some disgust.

Look at the Thunder, Dort and Caruso were installed as if they were installed on a perpetual motion machine. Caruso made 3 of 6 three-pointers in this game, and he chased Murray to send a big hat on the nail in the final quarter. The defensive pressure made people rub the back of the neck; Dort even more amazing, from Alexander's breakthrough to a three-pointer against Porter, the whole game was stuck to the Nuggets like a gummy. Let’s look at the Timberwolves’ Reed and the Pacers’ Nesmith. The bench turned pages and was a complete set of tactics. Even the Knicks rely on Brunson + Towns’ “The Two Elders of Xuanming” to hold on until the Eastern Conference Final tiebreak. It's better for us here. When Gordon was injured, except Westbrook, the bench occasionally made two people. The others were like they were cast in a fixed curse. They stood on the offensive end and leaked on the defensive end. The thickness of this lineup really has to be measured by a ruler.

But if you want to have a teacher, we fans have to tell you openly - the tiebreak battle was only 9 times, which is really contrary to your usual style! You are the "dealer" who is carrying the team forward in the regular season. When the Thunder played a 18-2 shock wave in the third quarter, we slapped our thighs straight in front of the TV: You are treating the center as a tank! Where did the "Thanos mode" go with 42 points, 22 rebounds and 10 assists in G1? Even if your teammates feel iron, you need to drill a few balls in the low post, even if they cause damage? After the game, just talking about strengthening will inevitably make people feel that if you don’t do well in the exam, you will blame the pencil for not working well.

Jokic specifically mentioned the Pacers, Thunder, and Timberwolves, but he did not mention the Knicks, who also relied on the main players, which offended New York fans. The Knicks rely on Brunson + Towns' "Xuanming Two Elders" to hold on until the Eastern Conference Final tiebreak. The combination does not count in your eyes, right? This wave of operations means more or less "looking down on the Knicks".

But then again, we are not the ones who keep their problems at risk. Caruso's three-point shooting percentage of 41.2% in the playoffs, the 17th in the league in defensive efficiency; Dort averaged 1.8 steals per game, and was able to defend from No. 1 to No. 3. This "3D puzzle" that can attack and defend is indeed the hard bone that our Nuggets lacks on the bench. But the question is, why should Thunder release others? What's even more embarrassing is that asking the teacher out of the question is equivalent to publicly saying that the current teammates are not good, and the atmosphere in the locker room is exciting to think about. If the management can get these two in the summer, coupled with Murray's sharp breakthrough and Porter Jr.'s accurate three-pointer, next season we will still be the "plateau iron army" in the West that is fearful.

Finally, I want to say something heart-to-heart to the teacher: We fans all understand your desire to win, but basketball is a sport of five people. When your "team brain" is hard, you have to be hard. The management team should not just listen, hurry up and work with the transaction list, don’t let the peak of the teacher’s life be like the snow in Denver, and it will be melted just by saying it. Just like the guy holding the "Jokic MVP" light sign yelled: "You are responsible for the upside down in the inside line, we are responsible for shouting on the plateau, and leave the rest to General Manager Payton for a headache!" This is what our Nuggets fans say in their hearts - you are not afraid of losing, what you are afraid of is bloodless; it makes sense to strengthen it, but we want to see you bring a new lineup next season and spread this breath on the court!
