UEFA official: 2026 European Super Cup will be held at Salzburg Stadium
Hupu, September 12th, UEFA Executive Committee confirmed at a meeting held in Tirana, Albania on September 11 that the Stadion Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria will host the 2026 European Super Cup. The
match will be held in August next year, against both sides, the 2025/26 Champions League champion and the UEFA Champions League champion.
Salzburg Stadium is home to the Austrian giants Salzburg Red Bull. This season they will face Porto, Ferencvaros, the Forward Eagles and Basel in the UEFA Cup group stage. In addition, the stadium was also used as the venue for the 2008 European Cup and hosted three group matches.
