Thames: Naples intends to sign De Bruyne, and has contacted the agent to express his intentions

Football

reported on May 8 that Naples intends to sign Manchester City midfielder De Bruyne.

It is reported that Naples has contacted De Bruyne's agent and informed the other party that they want to sign the 33-year-old Belgian player, and De Bruyne is about to leave Manchester City as a free agent. He had hoped to play for at least another year at Etihad Stadium, but Manchester City decided not to renew his contract.

Several other clubs have also expressed interest to De Bruyne. The Belgian international still believes that he can play in top-level events, so he hopes to stay in Europe and continue playing, while Napoli has secured qualification for the Champions League next season, Conte's team is currently ranked first in the Serie A, three points higher than Inter and has three games left this season. If De Bruyne joins Naples, he will become teammates with his compatriot and friend Lukaku, and several other clubs remain interested in De Bruyne, which Miami International had wanted to take advantage of De Bruyne's priority signing rights in the AFC, but they realized they could not afford the player's salary and waived that right. Miami International already has three "designated players" (can receive high salaries without salary cap restrictions), namely Messi, Alba and Busquets, and they also have Suarez in their roster.

Chicago Flames currently have priority signing rights for De Bruyne, but they have to convince De Bruyne to join their team, and they currently have a vacant place for designated players, so, in theory, they can provide De Bruyne with a higher salary than the rest of the team. Currently, the highest-paid Belgian striker Kuypers is the 28-year-old Belgian striker who earns £47,000 a week.

De Bruyne also received offers from Saudi professional league teams that were able to give him a higher salary than he earned at Manchester City for £400,000 a week.
