Porto official mourns Costa: You are the leader, captain, role model, goodbye forever
August 5th News Porto general manager and club legend Jorge Costa died of cardiac arrest at the age of 53. Porto officially issued a message to mourn Costa.
Porto official: "Jorge Costa left us. He is one of us, a leader, captain, role model, and a symbol of the Porto club. Thank you for being a Porto person from beginning to end. Farewell, Costa."
In June 2024, Costa returned to Porto and became the general manager of the team. As a player, Costa led Porto to win the Champions League trophy.
