Manchester United wanted to introduce Sheshko, but he chose Salzburg and Leipzig

At the time Manchester United football director John Merto met with Shezko's agent Elvis Barzanovic. Since then, Barcanovic has been in contact with Manchester United executives and has visited Carrington training base and Old Trafford on several occasions.

Before RB Leipzig played against Manchester City in the 2023 Champions League group stage, Shezko talked about Manchester United's interest in him in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.
