Manchester City re-signs goalkeeper Trafford at high price, Felish joins Enas and Ronaldo side by side
Premier League giants Man City announced on Tuesday (July 29) that goalkeeper Trafford will return to Manchester City and sign a five-year contract with the team after assisting Burnley in the Premier League.
Traford won the Golden Glove Award with 29 wins in the Championship last season. British media reported that the English goalkeeper, who has joined Manchester City since he was a teenager and has played for eight years, returned to Manchester City for a transfer fee of 27 million pounds (about S$46.4 million).
Trafford said: "Returning to Manchester City is a special and proud moment for me and my family. I have always dreamed of going back to Manchester City one day.
"This is what I call home - it's a really special football club with great staff and making it a unique place for work and play. ”
Trafford, who was loaned by Manchester City for the third-tier league, officially transferred to Burnley in 2023, and played 28 appearances there, but the team was relegated.
The 1.98-meter goalkeeper returned to the top in the Championship last season, and Burnley conceded only 16 goals throughout the season, 14 goals less than champion Leeds.
Trafford said: "I am still young and eager to continue learning and improving - I know there is no better environment than Manchester City to help me become the best goalkeeper. ”
On the other hand, Saudi League giant Al Nassr announced that he had signed Portuguese striker Felix from the Premier League team "Blue Army" Chelsea, and the two sides signed a two-year contract. This means that Felish will play side by side with national teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in this team.
