Kanssa talks about the future: I am in a great position to go further and stay focused on working hard

June 15, Liverpool central defender Konsa said he feels he is in an excellent position to move to a new height in his career.

TheAthletic previously reported that Kanssa is one of Leverkusen's central defender's targets, but Liverpool has a high opinion of it and has no intention of selling it on its own initiative. Kanssa, who is currently playing in the European Youth League with England U21, said when talking about his career before the game against Slovenia: "My development trajectory is very clear, and I will not be overly excited or depressed by anything."

"The past three professional football seasons have made me a lot of money. From loaning to Bristol Wanderers in 2023 to now, looking back at this journey, I am in a better position to go further. This requires continuous efforts and focus on controllable things. As for the future, as long as I keep focusing on hard work, it will naturally come naturally."

Kanssa's Liverpool teammate Elliot also talked about the future. He admitted that his situation of winning only two Premier League starts last season has made him wary of wasting his golden period of his career.

Talking about this teammate, Kanssa said: "We are intimate and talk about everything on and off the court. The topic is not necessarily limited to football. When the performance of the field is not as expected, we will talk about completely irrelevant things to divert attention."
