Who do you think of the alternative iron triangle in NBA history?

Basketball

① Chamberlain West Baylor (Crownless Iron Triangle 1968-1972)

In 1968, in order to defeat the Celtics who had won 10 championships at that time, they almost invincible. The three largest defeated Celtics in the 1960s Chamberlain, West and Baylor all gathered in the Los Angeles Lakers.

They are the best center outside Russell, the best point guard before Jordan, and the best forward before Larry Bird, and they are all at their peak.

As a result, they were defeated 4-3 by Russell in the last year of their careers in the 1969 Finals, and West won the first and only FMVP in NBA history to be awarded to the loser.

In 1970, they lost 3-4 to the New York Knicks in the Finals, and in 1971, they lost 1-4 to the Milwaukee Bucks who had just entered the league (at the time).

They did not revenge the Knicks 4-1 until 1972, winning the first championship since the Lakers moved to Los Angeles.

But unfortunately, Elgin Baylor had retired early in nine games due to a knee injury that season.

②Reed Debschel Fraser (Team Iron Triangle 1968-1974)

And those who repeatedly defeated the Lakers in those years were the New York Knicks, who took over the Celtics' mantle and rose in the East.

In a sense, they are the earliest champion iron triangle in NBA history, considering that the Celtics are really shining with stars.

Willis Reed is the originator of short and strong centers. In the 69-70 season after Russell retired, he averaged 21.7 points, 13.9 points and 2.0 assists per game, including the championship, FMVP, regular season MVP and All-Star MVP. To this day, only Jordan and the Sharks have done it.

His outside partner was Walter Fraser, a former representative of New York street basketball. With his chic skills and image, his big scene attributes also made the Knicks the most tenacious team at that time. Debschel on the forward line joined Detroit in the 1968-69 season. In order to get him, the Knicks sent Walter Bellamy, the famous double-double machine, but he also became Reed's career partner.

His diligence, superb football business and full-hearted attitude have become the favorite of New York fans.

He was the defensive elite of his era, and was selected for five consecutive years after the league launched the Best Defensive Team Award.

In the end, the Knicks won the only two championship trophys in team history in 1970 and 1973.

③ Van dervich Iser Inglish (Crazy Iron Triangle 1981-84)

This is the craziest combination in the 1980s. Under the training of mad coach Dougmore, the Nuggets became the most firepower team in the league.

The great white pitcher Van dervich, tough power forward Isser, and elite scorer Inglish were three players at the same time for two consecutive seasons.

Their overall offensive firepower was even more terrifying. At that time, the league averaged 108.6 points per game, 12 points more than the second place.

Of course, their defense is equally bad, conceding 126 points per game, which is also 9.4 points more than the second place.

This crazy team's best result in the three seasons of 1982-84 was just the Western Conference semi-finals, but it injected unique colors into that era.

④Mullin Hardaway Richmond (Legend TMC 1988-1991)

Another group of crazy attacking iron triangles in the 1980s. Under the leadership of mad scientist Old Nelson, they played the final glory of the Warriors before Curry.

The three top scorers made smooth and smooth attacks. Although the defense was still bad, they were the best team in the league except the Lakers at that time.

They reached the Western Conference semi-finals for two consecutive years in 1989 and 1991, and finally fell apart because Richmond was sent to the King.

⑤Howard Strickland Richmond (99-00) (high salary and low energy iron triangle)

Richmond was selected again. Ten years later, at the end of the 20th century, he was already a 34-year-old veteran, but in Washington Wizards and assist master Strickland, and the first NBA 100 million yuan gentleman, Juwang Howard, formed the famous high salary and low energy trio at that time.

If the total salary of three people has reached 25 million (Howard 12 million, the other two have 10 million), you should know that the league's salary cap is only 34.5 million.

But that year the Wizards only rose 29 and lost 53 to the Eastern Conference in the regular season, and then they welcomed Michael Jordan as the small boss to take over.

⑥ Kidd-Kevin Johnson-Nash (96-98) (Point Guard Iron Triangle)

In the 1996 Golden Generation Draft, the Phoenix Suns won Canadian defender Steve Nash with the 15th pick in the first round, as the substitute for the team's leading defender Kevin Johnson.

However, in December of that year, they bought the bottom again. Jason Kidd, who did not succeed in winning the Mavericks, accidentally had three top defenders in the Hall of Fame at the same time.

Although "Mayor Kevin" had reached the second half of his career at that time, Kidd shone here, winning the assist king four times in five years at the turn of the century, becoming the league's number one point guard.

The young Nash really couldn't stand it and was eventually traded to the Dallas Mavericks, which led to the legend of the son of the wind..

⑦ Kidd-Mashburn-Jim Jackson (Jealous Iron Triangle)

Why would Kidd be swept out when he won the best rookie and entered the All-Star the next year?

Then we have to talk about the famous jealous family. In the 1995-97 season, Kidd, who had just entered the league, showed his style of a top defender, leading Jim Jackson (a famous homeless man in NBA) and Jim Marshburn to form the youthful JJJ combination at that time.

But just when the team was booming, there was an outrageous scandal that these three big brothers had an affair with female singer Blaiseton. The three of them were jealous, and the locker room ended up being in chaos. All three of them were sent away in just one year, and the team also wanted to be quiet.

There is a saying, don't look at Kidd as a head coach and teaches and educates people. During his time as a player, whether in the Mavericks, the Suns or the Nets, they were the thorns of the big bully shop.

It's one thing on the court, but another off the court.

⑧Embid-Okafor Noel (Season 15-16) (Silly Big Iron Triangle)

This is the bloody plot of the Philadelphia 76ers "Believe in the Process" ten years ago. In 2013, they won Kentucky's 6th pick in the first round, but they were injured in training and were reimbursed for the season.

In 2014, the great Joel Embiid was selected in the third pick in the first round, but the emperor was even more ruthless and did not play for two years.

In 2015, they still won Duke's inside star Okafor in the third pick in the first round.

I chose three big men for three consecutive years, but both of them were reimbursed for the season before the game started.

So in the 2015-16 season, Noel and Okafor partnered with the inside, and the second-year emperor posted a tweet to cheer on the court. There will probably never be a stupid threesome like

.

⑨ Wade Butler Rondo (refusing to vote in the Iron Triangle 16-17)

In 2016, Wade could not bear Riley's exploitation and ran away from Chicago. In addition to Butler who had just made a name for himself, there was also Rondo who had signed a contract freely.

So in recent years, three famous attackers in the league who did not shoot three points were combined, but they did not expect the effect to be good.

Third players made a total of 7.6 three-pointers that season, and they made 2.7 of them, mainly relying on Butler (1.2/3.3), which was very rare in the league just now.

But the Bulls still scored 41 wins and 41 losses and ranked eighth in the Eastern Conference and entered the playoffs. As a result, they led the first-place Celtics 2-0 away in the first round.

Naihelong was injured after coaching the second game and was unable to play the following game again, which made the Celtics turnaround.

In today's era of three-pointers flying all over the sky, we can no longer see such a "refusing to shoot the iron triangle".
