Wall: I play basketball not for money but because of love. I am willing to give up all the money to play basketball.
August 20th According to previous reports, 2010 NBA No. 1 pick John Wall announced his retirement from the basketball industry.
Wal recently said in an interview with the Washington Post that he is willing to give up all his money just to play basketball without experiencing those injuries.
Wall said: "This is the most frustrating thing, because people think, 'Oh, he's already got the money, he's carefree in his life, he doesn't care.' No, I'm willing to give up all my money to play basketball, as long as I don't have to go through those injuries. I'm not playing basketball for money. I play basketball because I love it."
"I'm eager to go back to the court and play basketball, not sitting on the sidelines to get a salary, and that salary means nothing to me," Wall said.
