The lineup has been upgraded! The Knicks signed former Lakers Jamison with a two-way contract to fill the roster seats

The New York Knicks decided to reorganize this offseason, firing Tom Thibodeau and hiring Mike Brown as the new head coach after losing to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Although most of the Knicks' lineup has been determined, the team still has two vacancies for two-way contracts. According to reports, the Knicks signed Terry Jamison III to fill one of the spots.
After signing Terry Jamison, all three two-way contract places for the Knicks have been used up. The other two-way contract players are Tosan Ebumwan and Kevin McCalla Jr. Both players also signed this week.
According to the two-way contract, Jamison can only play at most 50 NBA games and is not eligible for the playoffs unless his contract is converted to a standard contract. He has the potential to get playing time with the Westchester Knicks in the G League.
Jamison has played for several NBA teams, and has previously signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. In January this year, the Lakers signed Jamison after being cut by the New Orleans Pelicans. After the Luca Doncic/Anthony Davis trade, Jamison actually got some regular playing time due to the lack of depth in the frontcourt of the Lakers.
Jimison played 22 games for the Lakers, and averaged just over 10 minutes of playing time. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, shooting 61.9% from the field.
Jamison lost in the 2023 NBA draft, and his NBA career began with the Washington Wizards in the 2023-24 season. He signed a 10-day contract at that time and was laid off after the contract expired. Jamison then joined the Memphis Grizzlies, spending the rest of the season and playing the best stats of his career so far: 7.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
