76ers president Darrell Morey said in an interview that Joel Embiid will play MVP level after his return.

Morey said on the show: "If Joel (Embied) comes back, it will still be very high. I actually didn't feel him falling. I know this is not his best season, and I have different opinions. This is my feeling, I think he regards himself as an MVP player. I think it depends on him, and I don't think he can't do it."

Embiid only played 19 games due to injury in the 2024-25 season, averaging 30 minutes per game. 23.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.3 turnovers, with a shooting percentage of 44.4% and a three-point shooting percentage of 29.9%.

76ers spent four years and 200 million contracts to sign Paul George last summer, but the latter only played 41 games due to injury, and his personal condition was also extremely poor, averaging 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, a shooting percentage of 43%, and a three-point shooting percentage of 35.8%. In the end, the 76ers only achieved 24 wins and 58 losses, ranking 13th in the Eastern Conference. They even have a 10.5% chance of winning the No. 1 pick today.
