Hupu News, October 31 Today, according to the sports business media Boardroom, Mavericks center Derek Lively II is turning defense into social influence through the "Blocks for Charity" project.

This public welfare cooperation project is jointly launched with the non-profit organization "UndueMedicalDebt ".

Lively will donate $100 for every block he completes this season. This donation is enough to help poor families in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Texas eliminate at least $10,000 in medical debt.

Deeply touched by personal experience with medical difficulties, Lively is determined to pay off $5 million in medical debt by the end of this season.

It is reported that the Dallas Mavericks have pledged to invest US$10,000 to support the project, and called on fans to participate in charitable acts to double the benefits of charity.

More than 100 million people in the United States are still burdened by medical debt. Liveley's charity has brought this national crisis rare social attention, and proved that every block changes more than just one game.
