On July 9, according to US media TMZ, former NBA star Dwight Howard was divorced. His wife applied for divorce after only half a year of marriage, demanding that property and child support be divided equally.

According to TMZ, court documents show that rapper and reality star Amber Rose filed a divorce application in the Georgia court on July 2, demanding that the basketball player be terminated.

Amber made it clear in the complaint that the marriage between the two parties had irreversibly broken down, adding that there was no possibility of settlement; Amber asked the court to make a fair distribution of all assets during the marriage and also required child support.

The two officially announced their engagement on social media in December last year. At that time, Amber posted a message showing his affection and said: My smile never stopped after meeting you, my superman; on January 12 this year, Howard and Amber officially registered for marriage, and now Amber has unilaterally filed a divorce application.

Amber has starred in "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" Season 11 and Season 12, and released an album "Amy's World" in 2023.

39-year-old Howard played in the NBA for 18 seasons, playing for Magic, Lakers, Rockets, Hawks, Hornets, Wizards and 76ers. He played in a total of 1,242 regular season games, averaging 15.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.8 blocks per game. He joined the Lakers three times and won the first championship of his career with the Lakers in 2020.

Howard has been selected as the All-Star 8 times, 8 times the Best of the Team, 5 times the Best of the Rebound, 2 times the Big Block, 1 time the Dunk Contest champion, and 3 times the Best of the Year. He has been confirmed to be selected as the 2025 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
