September 12th According to Substack reporter Stein, the Lakers may be interested in Wiggins if the Heat plans to clear cap space in the future.

Heat reporter Wes Goldberg tweeted: "I don't think the Heat will give up Wiggins for the sake of Kneckett and salary matching chips. (They are not actively selling Wiggins and are full of expectations for his performance in the new season. What's more, with Heywood Highsmith's departure, the team has no obvious replacement at the moment.) Similarly, I don't think the Lakers will take out valuable first-round picks in 2031 or 2032 to trade Wiggins. Unless these prerequisites change, the Lakers' interest in Wiggins has no practical significance."
