ESPN: The Cavaliers may lose Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill this summer
Recently, according to ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst, the Cavaliers may lose Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill this summer.
Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill will become full free agents this summer.
"The Cavaliers will be with two important substitutes next season - Tay Jerome and Sam Merrill, both of whom will be fully free agents. They are at risk of losing one or even two of them - and may even need to trade other players to retain them, although the team's president Altman said last week that the team's owner has approved him to spend money to keep the roster."
"But again, though, for the Cavaliers and other teams entering the second tyrant line, the challenge is not just book spending, but punitive terms that limit the ability to manage the lineup. The deeper they get into this line, the harder it is to get out, and this is almost destined to become a reality that must be faced at some point."
