Chicago Bulls Offseason Wish List: Is Superstar Trade Coming Coming?

Basketball

The Bulls are in a familiar position as another offseason arrives. Fans of Windy City are looking forward to seeing changes. Another offseason is coming, and the Chicago Bulls are in a familiar position. The Bulls once again made the playoffs and finished ninth in the Eastern Conference and were eliminated by the Miami Heat in the playoff playoffs for the third consecutive year. This is not surprising for Bulls fans, because the team has not made much changes in recent years and the fans are becoming more and more anxious.

The Bulls have indeed made several major deals compared to recent years, with Alex Caruso, Demar DeRozan and Zach Lavender. However, these trades did not change the Bulls’ performance on the basketball court. Chicago has been in an awkward middle ground: They aren’t strong enough to make a difference in the playoffs, but not enough to get any draft picks that change the situation.

This season, the Bulls ended with a record of 39 wins and 43 losses. Windy City fans hope this offseason will change and the team needs to make some big moves to achieve this. Here are some of the offseason wishes of Bulls fans:

Bringing a superstar

It's absolutely delusional, but now, Bulls fans are dreaming of bringing one of the best NBA players to Windy City. While unlikely, hopes for this offseason are greater than ever. The reason is the uncertainty of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic.

After being eliminated early in the playoffs, the possibility of the Milwaukee Bucks trading Giannis is getting greater and greater. He spent his entire career in Milwaukee and many people think he will never leave. Now, this is possible, and it makes sense for the Bulls to chase him.

If the Denver Nuggets intend to trade Nikola Jokic, the Bulls may also try to trade him. The Nuggets recently fired their head coach and general manager, and rumors of deals surrounding Jokic followed. Due to Serbia's large population and Jokic has a good fan base in Chicago, the Bulls are an attractive destination.

Chicago is a good destination for both players and all superstars. Chicago is a great location and the Bulls have an extremely rich history. Now is the time for the Bulls to regain their competitiveness, and one of these two players may help the team achieve that. Problem: The Bulls may not have enough resources to provide these two teams.

Leadership Change

Bulls fans are dissatisfied with how the team works. They are not satisfied with management and head coach Billy Donovan. Donovan has achieved many successes as head coach and has even been inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. However, the team has not won many games since he coached the Chicago Bulls.

The question is, is the team's failure really Billy Donovan's fault? Management has made many major decisions, and Donovan has not got much room to play. Despite this, many Bulls fans still want to see the team change head coach.

Trade Nikola Vucevic

Finally, Bulls fans hope to see the team trade Nikola Vucevic. The team is working to build a core squad of young talented players, and Vucevic not only doesn't fit the team's model, but also has a high salary. His contract is not as smooth as the Bulls expected, and rumors surrounding him will be endless offseason.

Bulls fans' wish list for offseason can really be listed in countless ways, but let's stop here for now. From a deal unlikely to bring superstars to Chicago, to a deal that might have happened long ago, there is a lot to happen in this windy city.
