Call Antetokounmpo, if you dare to leave the team, just wait for the beating! Kuzma tells the Bucks dual cores!
Looking back at the 2024-25 season, it is undoubtedly a season that is hard to hide.
The regular season encountered a crisis at the beginning, but in the end, he still tenaciously entered the playoffs as fifth in the Eastern Conference. He originally thought he still had a chance to make a comeback, but soon the Bucks were caught off guard by reality. In the first round of the playoffs, the Bucks were eliminated by the Pacers with a score of 4-1, and there was almost no suspense in the entire series. The team's core defender Lillard even returned early with an injury and eventually suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury. The new player Kuzma, who was traded in the mid-season, was also in a sluggish state. The core Antetokounmpo tried his best, but in the end he was still alone. The team also said goodbye to the season in advance and encountered the first round again.
On June 3, Kuzma posted his boxing training video on his personal social media, and wrote:
"If you (Antetokounmpo) leaves the team next season, I will treat you like this."
This sentence with a smile immediately sparked heated discussion.
As we all know, after being eliminated in the first round of this season, Antetokounmpo was open to the possibility of leaving the Bucks for the first time. Previously, several reporters revealed that the Bucks management has realized the seriousness of the problem and is actively reorganizing the lineup, trying to retain the MVP-level superstar with a more competitive lineup.
But considering that the Bucks have a tight salary space and aging core lineup, they actually don’t have many changes they can make during the offseason. In the future, they will face a lot of difficulties.
After mocking Antetokounmpo, Kuzma still did not stop and continued to show off the training scene, and this time the goal was changed to Lillard. The caption reads:
"You are the next one!" The text content was followed by a laughing and crying expression, which was full of teasing.
Faced with the provocation from his teammates, Lillard was naturally not a good person. He immediately forwarded Kuzma's dynamic and retorted:
"As long as I am in a state, I will let you lie down in five rounds, can you resist it?"
The interaction between the two instantly flooded the fans, which can add a little bit of water to the Bucks' slightly dull offseason. But no matter how much jokes are, the reality of the Bucks is indeed not optimistic.
Judging from the data, Kuzma played 33 regular season games for the Bucks this season, averaging 14.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game, and his performance was quite average; but in the playoffs, he averaged only 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in five games, almost completely invisible. In contrast, Antetokounmpo can still output stably, averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game in the regular season, and 33 points, 15.4 rebounds and 6.6 assists in the playoffs, making it the only stabilizing force for the Bucks.
For Lillard, he averaged 24.9 points per game in the regular season, but he only played 58 games. He only played 3 games due to injury problems in the playoffs, averaged only 7 points per game, and was in no personal form.
At present, Antetokounmpo's stay and departure is still the most critical task for the Bucks during the offseason, and what is truly worth thinking about for everyone is still the old question:
"Is there really still a chance for this team's championship window?"
